【摘要】:1.1Thisclassificationsystemcoversthepropertiesofvulcanizedrubbermaterials(naturalrubber,reclaimedrubber,syntheticrubbers,aloneorincombination)thatareintendedfor,butnotlimitedto,useinrubberproductsforautomotiveapplications.Note18212;ThisclassificationsystemmayservemanyoftheneedsofotherindustriesinmuchthesamemannerasSAEnumberedsteels.Itmustberemembered,however,thatthissystemissubjecttorevisionwhenrequiredbyautomotiveneeds.Itisrecommendedthatthelatestrevisionalwaysbeused.1.2Thisclassificationsystemisbasedonthepremisethatthepropertiesofallrubberproductscanbearrangedintocharacteristicmaterialdesignations.Thesedesignationsaredeterminedbytypes,basedonresistancetoheataging,andclasses,basedonresistancetoswellinginoil.Basiclevelsarethusestablishedwhich,togetherwithvaluesdescribingadditionalrequirements,permitcompletedescriptionofthequalityofallelastomericmaterials.1.3Inallcaseswheretheprovisionsofthisclassificationsystemwouldconflictwiththoseofthedetailedspecificationsforaparticularproduct,thelattershalltakeprecedence.Note28212;Whentherubberproductistobeusedforpurposeswheretherequirementsaretoospecifictobecompletelyprescribedbythisclassificationsystem,itisnecessaryforthepurchasertoconsultthesupplierinadvance,toestablishtheappropriateproperties,testmethods,andspecificationtestlimits.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.
