【摘要】:Deformationandstrengthpropertiesaremeasuredonlyonthemasonrybetweenflatjacks.Boundaryeffectsofthecollarjointbehindthewythetestedandadjacentmasonryareneglected.Inthecaseofmulti-wythemasonry,deformabilityisestimatedonlyinthewytheinwhichtheflatjackisinserted.Deformabilityofotherwythesmaybedifferent.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesaninsitumethodfordeterminingthedeformationpropertiesofexistingunreinforcedsolid-unitmasonry.(SeeNote1.)Thistestmethodconcernsthemeasurementofin-situmasonrydeformabilitypropertiesinexistingmasonrybyuseofthin,bladder-likeflatjackdevicesthatareinstalledinsawcutmortarjointsinthemasonrywall.Thistestmethodprovidesarelativelynon-destructivemeansofdeterminingmasonryproperties.Note18212;Solid-unitmasonryisthatbuiltwithstone,concrete,orclayunitswhosenetareaisequaltoorgreaterthan75%ofthegrossarea.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
