【摘要】:1.1ThispracticecoversthebasicprinciplesandoperatingproceduresforusingfluorescentUVlight,andwaterapparatusintendedtoreproducetheweatheringeffectsthatoccurwhenmaterialsareexposedtosunlight(eitherdirectorthroughwindowglass)andmoistureasrainordewinactualusage.Thispracticeislimitedtotheproceduresforobtaining,measuring,andcontrollingconditionsofexposure.Anumberofexposureproceduresarelistedinanappendix;however,thispracticedoesnotspecifytheexposureconditionsbestsuitedforthematerialtobetested.Note1PracticeG151describesperformancecriteriaforallexposuredevicesthatuselaboratorylightsources.ThispracticereplacesPracticeG53,whichdescribesveryspecificdesignsfordevicesusedforfluorescentUVexposures.TheapparatusdescribedinPracticeG53iscoveredbythispractice.1.2TestspecimensareexposedtofluorescentUVlightundercontrolledenvironmentalconditions.DifferenttypesoffluorescentUVlightsourcesaredescribed.1.3SpecimenpreparationandevaluationoftheresultsarecoveredinASTMmethodsorspecificationsforspecificmaterials.GeneralguidanceisgiveninPracticeG151andISO4892-1.MorespecificinformationaboutmethodsfordeterminingthechangeinpropertiesafterexposureandreportingtheseresultsisdescribedinISO4582.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.5ThisstandardistechnicallysimilartoISO4892-3andISODIS11507.
